# Points and wallet

> Points measure contribution and rank. Bounty rewards are money and are paid separately.

## Points

Vangrid posts its own bounties for places it wants covered. They work like any other bounty, with one difference: the reward is points rather than money.

Points are awarded after a capture has been processed successfully, not when you upload it.

Points measure your contribution to the network and your rank within it.

## Wallet

Your wallet is your sign in. It shows your points, your rank, and the bounty rewards recorded against your address.

## Bounty rewards

Bounty rewards are money and are separate from points. When a requester accepts your submission, Vangrid pays out the reward.
