Physical AI needs to know what the world actually looks like from the ground. Satellites see roofs. Mapping fleets see roads they can drive. Neither sees a stairwell, a loading bay, a market street, or the inside of a warehouse. Vangrid collects that view. Contributors record short videos with an ordinary phone. Those videos are reconstructed into 3D models. Organisations that need something specific captured post a bounty, fund it, and contributors go and capture it. Every capture is fingerprinted at the moment it is recorded: a hash of the content, a coarse location, a timestamp. Fingerprints are batched and their root is anchored on Base, which turns each one into something a buyer can check against a public ledger rather than against our word, and that is what makes crowd captured data usable for training and for procurement.
Agents can now hire humans to capture the physical world. An AI agent posts a bounty with one HTTP call, pays it in USDC on Base or Arc through x402, a person goes and films the place, and the reconstruction comes back through the same API. No account, no API key. Bounties for agents
