Post a bounty
1
Describe what you need captured
Give it a title and describe exactly what to capture and where. Precision here decides the quality of what you get back.
2
Set a reward and a deadline
You pay once, for example $50, and you choose how long the bounty stays open. Reconstruction of the winning capture is included, so there is no second payment.
3
Fund it
The reward is escrowed in USDC on Base before anyone starts working, so contributors can see the money is there. It stays locked until you accept a submission.
4
Review and accept one
Submissions arrive against your brief. Accepting one releases the reward.
Submit to a bounty
1
Choose a clip
Record a new one, or use a clip you have already captured. Both work.
2
Open the bounty and submit
Send your clip with a short note for the requester.
3
Wait for review
You pay nothing to submit. Reconstruction is covered by the bounty.
What happens after accept
Accepting closes the bounty on chain and releases the escrow. The winning capture goes into reconstruction, and the requester receives a textured mesh in GLB format. Reconstruction typically takes 30 minutes or more. Per stage progress inside your account, with a live status for each reconstruction, will follow.Where the money goes
The reward is escrowed when the bounty is funded and released when you accept it. Vangrid takes the platform fee, currently 10%, covers the cost of reconstruction, currently around $5, and pays the rest to the contributor. With current defaults, a $50 reward pays $5 to the platform, $5 for reconstruction, and $40 to the contributor. These figures are examples and can change.Privacy
The escrow and the settlement are written on chain. That is deliberate: it is what lets a contributor confirm the money exists before spending an afternoon capturing, and what lets a requester prove a deal happened without taking anyone’s word for it. What stays private is the substance. Only a hash of the delivered dataset goes on chain, never the footage, never the brief, and never the identity of the contributor who fulfilled it.Requesters never receive raw video. They receive the reconstructed 3D model. The original footage stays with the contributor.
